Maryville College, Maryville, 502 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville, TN 37804
Mark will be one of the many instructors at this legendary Bluegrass camp. Don't miss!
Chris Jones & The Night Drivers return to this historic bluegrass festival in Dickenson County, VA, started by Ralph Stanley in 1970
*2025 Camp instructors include Sharon Gilchrist, John Reischman, Mark Stoffel, and Forrest O'Connor. Sharon, John, and Mark will be teaching smallgroup classes and Forrest will be teaching one-on-one lessons throughout the weekend.
*Dates for Nashville Mandolin Camp are Thursday through Sunday, April 17-20, 2025.
*The price for on-site lodging, tuition, and food is $1150. The price for traveling to and fro each day (we call this being a "day camper" which includes tuition, breakfast, lunch, and snack) is $900. Add-on dinner plans for day campers are also available.
*Register early - with only 15 spots time is of the essence. Campers are taken in order based on when deposits are received. Here's how it works. At 9am Central on the day registration opens, the PayPal button will appear on the website. When there are 15 deposits received, registration is closed. Filling out the registration form is great and we do need you to do that, but has nothing to do with whether or not you make it in to camp. Sometimes we receive more than 15 deposits before we can declare camp registration closed. In that case, we will refund any deposits back to the people who did not get in and place those people on the waiting list in the order their deposits were received.
This is unlike any mandolin camp you've ever encountered...
In the hills just above Nashville, TN there is a house set back in the woods where people go to learn how to play the mandolin. Only 15 campers are allowed to attend so each class is small and every camper comes away feeling like he or she had a couple of days of private lessons. And yet, friendships are made that last a lifetime. It's pretty magical.
Teachers are chosen because they are able to make special connections with their students. Meals are homemade and generally pretty southern and always delicious. You will stay on-site or travel from your home (or a local hotel) each morning and learn from the masters. Days are filled with classes and workshops with extremely small class sizes. Afternoons and evenings are all about jamming and trips to Nashville for amazing concerts.
And on the last day, campers have the option to record a tune or song with one of the instructors. This is a musical memory that you will have forever and something no other camp offers. It is a truly special experience.
