The 2024 Cabin Fever Concert

(CST, UTC-06) (CST, UTC-06)

The Liberty Theater, 1333 Walnut Street, Murphysboro, IL 62966

Got the winter blues? We’ll chase it away for you on Saturday, February 17th, at the historic Liberty Theater in Murphysboro. Bands and musicians involved in the chase are: Mark Stoffel & the Usual Suspects: Driving bluegrass, pickin' and grinnin', and a bit funny too Lucas Wayne & the Cottonmouths: Haunting original songs performed by the best voice ever, accompanied by local favs Nate Graham and Tim Whiteford Mila Maring & John Reimbold: A physiologist and an audiologist with stunning folky alter-egos. A must see! The Cabin Fever Concert at Liberty Theater was a popular concert series from 2009 to 2014 and we felt there was an urgent need to bring it back ... so we did! Grab your friends and/or a loved one, make it a fun night out in downtown Murphysboro, enjoy a nice meal at one of Murphysboro's many great restaurants before the show! The concert begins at 7pm, tickets are $15, and there will be concessions in the Theater Lobby.

51 Walnut Valley Festival - Chris Jones & The Night Drivers

 —  —

Walnut Valley Festival, Winfield, Kansas

The Walnut Valley Association was formed in 1972, with its sole purpose to produce the Walnut Valley National Guitar Flat-Picking Championships Festival, also known as the Flat-Picking Championships, now known as the “Walnut Valley Festival” or simply “Winfield” to the long time attendees.

Still the third week-end in September, in Winfield, Kansas, at the Winfield Fairgrounds, the Walnut Valley Festival has long prided itself on being educational as well as enjoyable, but most of all, the Festival is a homecoming. And a homecoming not just because of the music and how folks act, but a coming home to a place in the soul and the heart with a spirit of celebration.

Mark and his buddies from Southern Illinois - Josh Morrison, Mila Maring, Kyle Triplett, and Nate Graham are stoked to perform lots of new, mostly original music!!!! Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students at the door. For more information, contact Kellye Whitler at 618-252-5400, ext. 2486

Album Release Facebook Live Concert - CANCELED

Coffee & Cake CD Release Virtual Concert

With a heavy heart we decided to postpone the Album Release event we had planned for this Saturday on Facebook Live because our family has been exposed to COVID19 and we have to quarantine until October 9th. The last thing I want to happen is to put Ned, Aaron, Josh, Nate, and the tech crew at risk. I will post a new date ASAP. Curious times. Stay safe out there!
